What is EnercitEE

EnercitEE – a European project carried out under the EU programme INTERREG IVC – will contribute to the improvement of local and regional policies and provide assistance in the transfer of knowledge on energy efficiency and sustainable transport.

EnercitEE will identify, analyse and transfer good practices, foster the exchange of experience and carry out light pilot implementation to increase the level of energy efficiency of local authorities and their citizens as the new target group. Practical guidelines and policy recommendations produced within the project will provide valuable assistance for European regions aiming to improve their energy performance and policies.

In order to reach this, concrete sub-projects will be implemented. The aim of those sub-projects is that the participating European regions come together and explore the manifold facets of approaching Energy Efficiency, such as incentives and grant programmes for citizens, energy management systems for public buildings, training courses and exchange of experience for local authority staff or local energy advice and support of citizens’ networks.
In particular the exchange of information and experience within ‘EnercitEE’ supports communities and regions reducing their carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions and implementing energy efficient measures.

Experiences made and results achieved within the project of EnercitEE will be made available to the broad public – via the website, newsletters or flyers – to bring benefit for local authorities and citizens all over Europe.

On our EnercitEE website you will find more information on EnercitEE’s Regional Partners, the sub-projects, good practice examples of the regions and publicity material like newsletters or flyers, that are all available in different languages.
