The first meeting of the EnercitEE sub-project E-FoxES „Energy saving foxes in European Schools“ was held in Bautzen in the end of June 2011.
The Bautzen Innovation Centre TGZ Bautzen is the Lead Sub-Project Participant (LSPP). Further sub-project partners are the French NGO Prioriterre from Haute Savoie and Energikontor Sydost from Southeast Sweden. Hartmut Vogel from Bautzen town council and Christina Mante from the Saxon State Office for Environment, Agriculture and Geology attended the meeting, too.
The main objective of the sub-project is to establish annual energy saving contests between schools in all involved EnercitEE regions. These contests will follow a common developed conception. The sub-project partners agreed to use the same award categories.
During the kick-off meeting the partnership studied the energy saving contest for schools in Bautzen and attended the final award ceremony for the last school year. The next E-FoxEs meeting will be in Annecy, France, in the beginning of 2012.

It was nice indeed to see all the projects the kids made for this contest in Bautzen! It gave us plenty of ideas to present very soon to the pupils that will be involved in the contest in Haute-Savoie (France). It will be great to show them what even the youngest were able to do in Germany; a great opportunity to get them motivated to think about how to reach energy efficiency at school!
